Have you got a lot of emails in your Gmail account? Want to delete them all?
In Gmail there’s no way to “select all” so that you can delete all your emails in one go. But there is an easy way to mass delete your emails and clean-up Gmail.
How To Delete All Emails In Gmail.
When you’re Inbox is overflowing with emails, it’s going to be tedious going through and deleting them one by one.
To delete all your messages in fell swoop, log in to your Gmail account.
Click the Select icon at the top of the message pane.
You’ll see all your emails will become selected. Now click the Delete button.
The Delete button may appear as a trash can icon depending on the size of your screen.

Only Deletes Messages On That Page.
Deleting your emails like this only deletes the ones shown on the page. Typically, Gmail will display up to 50 emails per page. So in turn you’re only deleting 50 at a time.
That could take forever if you’ve got thousands of emails, or conversations as Gmail calls them.
However, when you’ve got more than 50 emails, when you click the Select button, you’ll see another option appear.
To delete all the emails in one go, click “Select all conversations”.
Then hit the Delete button or trash can.
Check All Categories And Labels.
Deleting your messages only deletes the emails in a particular Category or Label (folder).
So to completely clean up Gmail, you’ll need to repeat the process in each Category and Label.
Don’t forget to click the More option to see all your Labels.

Empty The Trash.
When you’ve finished deleting all the emails in Gmail, the final thing to do is to empty the Trash.
By default, Gmail will automatically delete emails from the Trash after 30 days, but you can it manually.
To find the Trash folder in Gmail, you might need to click the More option in the left hand pane.
Then click Trash and finally, click Empty Trash Now.
Summary.
It’s surprising just just how many emails we accumulate over the years. Getting rid of them all isn’t as straightforward as deleting files from a PC because the old CTRL + A (Select All) doesn’t work. But Google has you covered.
