How to block emails on Yahoo Mail webmail service. Spam, or junk, email is the scourge of your Inbox. Then there are the more malicious types of messages and emails from people that you don’t want contacting you.

How To Block Emails On Yahoo Mail
Blocking emails in Yahoo Mail will prevent any emails from that sender from landing anywhere in your account.
It’s good way of cutting down on the amount of spam that lands in your Inbox, and also for stopping someone from contacting you by email.
To block someone in Yahoo, select the email that you want to stop by clicking in the checkbox to the left of the message.
Then right click on the email. On the options menu, left click Block Senders.
Block Senders And Delete Existing Messages
The Block Senders window will open. You have 2 options –
- Block all future emails
- Delete all existing emails
Select the options that you require and click the OK button.
Unblocking Senders
Occasionally you might want to unblock a sender in Yahoo Mail. To unblock a sender click the Settings icon (gear wheel) and then click More Settings on the menu.
Then click Privacy & Security in the left hand panel. Under the Blocked Addresses section you’ll see a list of all the currently blocked email addresses. To unblock a sender, click on the trash can to delete the entry.
How To Stop Spam In Yahoo Mail.
The first and easiest way of blocking email in Yahoo Mail is to simply to mark it as Spam (Junk). This doesn’t specifically block the emails, instead they’re automatically sent to the Spam folder rather than the Inbox.
To mark an email as spam in Yahoo Mail, select it by checking the box to the left of the message.
Then click the Spam button on the toolbar.
If the Spam button isn’t visible, you can also right click the selected email and then left click Spam on the options menu.
Marking As Spam Helps The Algorithm
Yahoo Mail, along with every other email service, do filter your emails for spam. That’s why occasionally a message that you’re waiting for actually ends up in the Spam folder by mistake.
Taking a moment of your time to mark emails as spam helps the algorithm to identify junk mail.
